SAMURAI KEBAB IN HAKUBA (A MUSLIM FRIENDLY OPTION)

Echoland is one of Hakuba’s most vibrant areas.it is located between Hakuba 47 goryo and Hoppo one resorts and has the largest concentration of restaurants. Echoland is a 500 m long main street.

Samurai kebab is the only Kebab restaurant in Hakuba. It is located in Hakuba Echoland. It can be accessed very easily as it is also near Hakuba station which is just 6 minutes by drive. It is an underground basement-type café with a cool red interior and is warm during winters. It is a perfect place to enjoy yourself with friends too as they have a large screen that provides sports watching and music channels. There is also a space where you can enjoy darts, table tennis, etc. They not only serve kebab but other dishes as well. But it's sad to know that upon asking the manager and talking about the ingredients briefly it's clear that only a few items can be eaten at Samurai kebab which is Muslim friendly.

Dishes which are Muslim friendly: CHICKEN KEBAB (wrap/sandwich/rice), POTATO WEDGES/FRIES, SALAD, and FALAFEL KEBAB (wrap/sandwich/rice).
All other items in their menu are not Muslim friendly as every food is not okay for example even their fish n chips are not Muslim friendly because they use beer in the marination of Fish. Even their pizzas are not okay as said by the manager that the cheese they use in their pizzas might not be safe for Muslims. So, only the items mentioned above are Muslim friendly which can be enjoyed by Muslims without worrying about anything. Regarding the taste of their kebabs, their kebabs are not bad but it's just okay to eat. Not so tasty as their falafel are harder and their chicken has not so good spices but they are okay to eat when hot but once it starts to get cool the taste changes as if it's like bad. No doubt the amount of the food is greater and their sauces are good too but their kebab needs to get better. Their fries are great. They serve them with sour cream, a great combination.

They do not open during lunch hours. They open only around 5/6 pm and close late at night after 12. So, it's better to call them first to confirm before visiting. In short, it's not highly recommended but a Muslim friendly café to fill up yourself.
