New Peshawar is a small restaurant situated in Akabori, Ora, Gunma. The restaurant has seating arrangements for approximately 15 people and the food is freshly made every day. The menu changes every day and there are special items on Friday. Some of their best dishes are Charsi Chicken Karahi (Chicken cooked with special spices and tomatoes in a pan), Daal Gosht (Mutton with Lentil), Mutton Nihari, Chapli Kebab, and Chicken Kebab. We tried the Chaarsi Chicken Karahi and Daal Gosht. It was so delicious and mouth-watering. Food was prepared in less than 20 minutes. The restaurant was empty, it was only was. So we did not have any problems The amount of food was enough for one person. Both the dishes came with Naan made from whole wheat flour. You can also choose roti if you do not want naan. The Daal Gosht was 1000 yen and Chaarsi Chicken Karahi was 1200 yen. They also give complimentary salad. The behavior of the staff was also amiable. We ordered milk tea (chai) after our meals and it was a great way to end this Pakistani feast! All the foods provided in this restaurant are 100% Halal. You can also have Take-Out from this restaurant.

If you are visiting Gunma, this restaurant is a must-visit. This restaurant provides more authentic foods than the Pakistani restaurants in Tokyo. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Please call them before visiting.
