THE BEST KEBAB PLATTER IN SHIBUYA! - Kebab Cafe Turkish Kebab

Turkish Kebabs are a go-to Halal food for Muslims living in Japan as many Turkish Kebabs shops have been opening up recently. While most Turkish kebab shops are usually good, some are above average like Kebab Cafe in Shibuya! We went to try the kebabs Kebab Cafe has to offer last weekend; this was our experience.

The restaurant has a narrow walkway and is really small but gives a cozy vibe. The interior is designed with Turkish tiles and pictures. Their AC is not that strong, we were having a hard time on this hot summer day but eventually, we calmed down after drinking the cold water they served.

We saw the menu, they had various kinds of Kebabs and sets. We ordered the Mix Kebab set which cost us 1500+ including VAT. The food took 10 minutes to arrive and the waiting was not bad as the restaurant staff was friendly and we talked about different things. Our food arrived and it was smelling really good. There was rice, salad, soup, and three kinds of kebab along with two pieces of triangular bread. All of the kebabs tasted really good and fresh. We were amazed to see how good their kebabs were compared to other shops. However, we did not like the Salad they provided us, there was too much dressing in the salad which was making it hard for us to finish it.

There was also a roasted bell pepper that tasted not bad. The kebabs were mouth-watering and they actually filled our stomachs. We asked for some extra rice but extra rice was not free. They were asking 270 yen for 2 extra balls of rice even though we only needed one extra spoon, so we had to cancel the extra rice. Other than that, we think this restaurant is a good place to try authentic Turkish kebabs as the kebabs at least taste good even though they have a lot to improve on.
