It is very difficult to find A Halal Chinese restaurant in Tokyo. Although there are tons of Chinese restaurants in Japan yet only few of them are Halal certified or Muslim friendly.
Aliya restaurant is an authentic Chinese restaurant which is located just about 2 mins walking from the west exit of Ikebukuro Station. You can easily find it out as it is on the main road in front of the west exit railway tracks.
I went to Ikebukuro for going shopping but later, I went to this Chinese restaurant. It has a huge blue color sign board. It is on the first floor of the building. The decoration of the Stairs were gorgeous even some Arabic calligraphy was written on it. One place I saw it was written Bismil Allah. At the top of the stairs, outside the main entrance, there is a big certificate of Muslim friendly sticked on the wall.
The restaurant is much big and I think that 50 people can dine in this restaurant. The Interior of the restaurant is quite amazing and it was mostly blue color. They do offer a buffet as well because I saw many of them enjoying it. The menu was huge. Therefore, I was literally very much confused as it was my first time.
Upon asking she said there is an English menu as well, so I was very happy to hear that because I was just enjoying to look at the food pics on menu as I don’t understand Japanese well.
The English menu was the same but with less pictures and that menu also had pages in Chinese. They have English and Chinese menu.
After so much confusion, I ordered lamb skewers, shrimp skewer and one steamed momo shape huge bun. After I ate my meal, the staff put a big jar of lemon water which is for free on my table. The skewers were amazing. I had never tasted this kind of skewer ever in my life. The taste was totally different compare to the skewer I have tried. The lamb was marinated with different style or spices. Similarly, shrimp tasted was almost the same. Both were amazing though. Coming to the huge steamed bun. It was a bread which is steamed, filled with beef minced inside. It was a mild flavour bun. My son loved it. I loved the skewers most! The only problem was that the staff only speaks Japanese and Chinese.
I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant, where I will definitely go to this restaurant again to enjoy the authentic Chinese cuisine. There are tons of dishes in their menu. It is worth tfor every Chinese food lover.o try Halal restaurant
