Newly opened Kebab up shop in Tokorozawa (Saitama)

Nowadays, kebab shops can be found anywhere in Japan and the great thing is most of them are Halal. In addition, as you know, it is the cheapest food and easy to buy to go as well.


There is one restaurant in Tokorozawa sells kebab and the name of the shop is KEBABUP.


KEBABUP is a newly opened done kebab restaurant close to Shin Tokorozawa Station. It is just about 4 minutes walking distance from the Station to the shop.


It is basically only kebab shop which serves kebab as Doner kebab, kebab wrap, kebab don or with curry. The owner of the shop is from Bangladesh and even the staff are also from Bangladesh, and they both are Muslim. The price is affordable costs me between 500 Yen or 600 yen.


I ordered a curry combo which included chicken kebab, rice, salad and curry. Curry changes every day. The day when I went to was a Bangladeshi style curry. They have such a great service because I got green tea for free (You need choose green tea or yoghurt drink).


To be honest, the taste was just okay to me. As it was as simple as the other places. I would say the people don't like spicy foods or most Japanese will able to enjoy the meal. When I was talking to the owner, he told me that the shop has praying space which is upstairs and maximum 20 people can pray there at the same time and the spaces is opened for 24/7. Even Friday, prayers can be performed there. In addition, he told me that they are gathering kids to practice learning and memorizing Quran as well. I really appreciated that he wants kids to learn Quran. Kids who learn Quran get to get meals for free.


It is really a good act of the owner for the Muslims of Japan. Besides, it is the first shop in Tokorozawa has a praying space and they sell few Halal certified products as well.


I wished the taste was great then any shops yet I definitely would love to visit them again. It is a new restaurant but it is good for Muslims living around Tokorozawa.
