Jame Masjid Yokohama is situated in Kanagawa prefecture.Yokohama mosque was first opened in 2006 but after a few reforms work and temporary closure, it was again opened in 2020. The masjid has a very nice interior and exterior. It is a very beautiful mosque. The masjid is about a 19-minute walk from Higashi yamata station or about a 10-minute walk from the Shin-ei Koko Kitaguchi bus stop.

Muslims can perform 5 times prayers at the mosque and other Islamic events can also be held in the mosque. This mosque sometimes manages some children and women's religious programs related to Islamic studies or competitions inside the masjid. Many Muslims from different communities visit this mosque to perform their prayers. You can find many Islamic books in Japanese at this mosque and can also find Quran in different languages. The activities which are usually held in this masjid are street Dawah, halal food festival, cultural festival, declaring Shahadah, nikkah (marriage), and qur'anic classes for Japanese kids.

There is a huge space for prayers including the wudhu room, toilet, and even kitchen. There is a separate entrance for men and women to enter the mosque and a space for women to pray which has a wudhu area also. Masjid can accommodate around 1000 Muslims.

Jame Masjid is also famous for tourists who want to come and learn about Islam. A masjid is significant for Muslims to strengthen their faith and better understand Islam in their homeland. It can also be an opportunity to establish good relations in Japan which is a non-Muslim country.
